Do you remember back then, when you were in your early to mid teens? You probably spent hours reading every copy of Mills and Boon and Barbara Cartland romance novels you could get your hands on. Like every teenage girl, maybe you dreamt of meeting your tall, dark, and handsome prince some day. Cinderella described that heartfelt longing so aptly when she sang the lines “A dream is a wish the heart makes.”
Like Cinderella, every young girl has a right to dream. It may not be about a prince that will sweep her off her feet someday; it could be anything – that one day she’ll be a marine biologist working for an international agency to save the whales, an opera singer performing in one of the celebrated opera houses in Europe, or even just a housewife with a loveable baby. Each young girl has her own dreams, and as parents we encourage our children to aim high and dream on.

We decorated this girl’s bedroom with the quote “A dream is a wish the heart makes” using the Sweetberry lettering style in Burgundy at 4 inches height, and put Flower Lettering Art in the same color and size at both ends. This choice of font gives the decorative lettering a casual, nonchalant effect, and its placement above the window is perfect for when your daughter gazes out into the horizon while reading her favorite romance novel or self-development book.
